What whistle is she wearing? Sounds like the ones on the Walt Disney World Railroad.
Do you still have the little Tweetsie live stream engine?
Yes! It will be with me until my final day!
@@ebtrr12 how much did the tiny Tweetsie cost?
Would have been nice to see what this train looked like 🙄
19:15 you don’t see 12 and 17 doubleheading everyday on the EBT. Usually it is 12 and 14 or 12 and 15.
Watching in 2022. Fantastic thank you!
Beautiful looking Locomotive.
What locomotive was the m-6 puting in the roundhouse at 39:15?
That would be a locomotive going into #16's stall, which is the locomotive that's being restored to service at the present as the East Broad Top is coming back to life!!!!
@@ebtrr12 i remember 16 had no number on the back of the tender or it faded completely away
I had a friend that built a 7.5" number 12 ET&WNC live steam locomotive. No kit, just blueprints of original locomotive and know how. It was done in not quite two years. He had a heart attack and died when he was in his mid fifties and only got to enjoy it for about five years after completing it. I was in my early twenties and didn't have enough funds to purchase it from his wife and I have no clue who got it or where it ended up. It was an emaculant model. You have an excellent, beautiful model yourself. If you built it yourself or are just maintaining it from being bought finished, you have done a wonderful job and I commend you on your efforts. It looks like a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing. 👍
Love # 12
I been a big fan of the ET&WNC since purchasing the live steam version of #12 twenty-two years ago. I spent an enjoyable day with a cab-ride on #12 a number of years ago at the Tweetsie Railroad!
@@ebtrr12 I rode #12 when I was 10 years old back in the 70's at Tweetsie. As time has passed all of my children and grandchildren have enjoyed it also. Fond memories. Very nice video thank you!
I am surprised that I am the first person to comment on your video. It was great! You haven't heard any news about what Mr. Salone and Joe K are up to have you? Bob
Hi is there any chance I could use some sound clips from this video? It's for a Train Simulator route of the EBT and we are looking for sounds of the locomotives (Mainly 12 currently) I would message you but I can't!
Will, Yes you have my permission to use the sounds of this video! Regards!
This engine looks similar to NSWGR 3642
What a spectacular layout, thanks for sharing.
I've been going to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania for years, but never knew about this layout even existed until late last year! A beautiful layout for sure! And one of two at the museum!
is the 7.0 gauge?
The locomotive is a 1 1/2" scale narrow gauge locomotive that runs on 4 3/4" track gauge.
Are you ever going to sell it? because if you do, I want it.
Nope, she will never be sold! She's my lady!
Sweet engine, what kind of coal are you burning in there? Bituminous? It's really smokey.
The coal is known as Sword's Creek Bituminous. Available from a supplier in Hagerstown, MD.
I like to see smoke and glad you using bituminous coal which is smokey as looks "realistic" everyone uses the anthracite stuff though
As shown in the video shots in the firebox, it's a coal burner. Sorry, she not for sale unless you can arrange a trade for the real ET&WNC #12!!!!!! If you can, we have a deal!!!!! LOL
I have seen photos of 1.5 Inch Scale 2-6-0 "version" of @12 in several Newsletters of the ET&WNC HS.
. Alo the loco is quite a bit larger than the Friends 4-6-0! However, The smoke box does seem to similar if not alike!
The loco was built starting in the 1960s and finished in the late 70s by a deceased Dentist from Haddon Heights, NJ whom I never met. I have owned the loco now for 17 years and she runs great. As to it being built with the Friends 4 3/4 4-6-0 castings, the tender trucks are different, the pony wheels have spokes while Friends don't, the cylinders are not the same, and the drivers have different counterweights. The few drawings that came with the loco are from a 1960s model magazine!!!!
My uncle built this train. I remember riding on it in his backyard. Is it still being used?

Beautiful locomotive! Was it built using Conventry's castings (Friends Mdoels)?
